As told in the book “Patients Beyond Borders” Brenda B. from Minnesota had teeth that were stained by the antibiotic tetracycline as a child. Faced with the cost of crowns to make her teeth white she began to research the dental tourism industry.
Brenda chose the city of Mosonmagyarovar, Hungary. “I chose the city of Mosonmagyarovar because of the large number of qualified dentists offering services at competitive prices. I also like the fact that it is in Europe and I could visit capitals in the surrounding countries.” said Brenda. Brenda was very happy with her dental services and said the dental team took great care of her. “Now I have a pretty smile and my teeth aren’t overly sensative.” she reported.
But what about the dental vacation portion of the trip? Brenda said that she, “Really liked relaxing in the thermal pool after treatment. There were quaint bakeries and coffee shops to enjoy along its cobblestone streets and avenues. The people were friendly, and I felt extremely safe walking the streets (even at night). I (was able to take) day trips to Bratislava (capital of Slovakia), Budapest and Vienna.”
