It is a fair question to ask… “What if I have complications with my dental work after my dental vacation?” That is a fair question and one you should consider prior to traveling to another country for care. Not that treaveling to another country is bad, in fact many countries very highly for dental care and dental tourism. But, what if something happens when you return home?
The first thing to do is to not plan on leaving the country immediately after treatment. The first couple of days is when most post treatment problems, like a high crown or filling, can be revealed. So plan some time after your dental care for whatever vacation experience you desire. Then if anything does come up you can contact your dentist and hopefully get it resolved before you leave.
In the unlikely event that you have already arrived home and a complication arises you will have a decision. Many foreign dentists guaranteed their work. Also, many foreign dentists are happy to talk to your home-town dentist to solve problems as they are very eager to keep patients happy.
The good news is that problems are infrequent so go get your dental health and enjoy that trip to Thailand, Mexico or where ever you choose.
